J & S Valve combines the highest quality materials available in an AWWA C500 Metal Seated Gate Valve. J & S offers Ductile Iron Body, Bonnet, Wedge and Gland where as the AWWA Specifications allow for Cast Iron. Cast Iron has approximately 1% elongation verses ductile iron which has approximately 9% elongation. The tensile strength of Cast Iron is 31,000 psi. The tensile strength of Ductile Iron is
65,000psi. |

WaStop® Check Valve |

WaStop® prevents flooding and sewage odour spreading in pipes. WaStop® check valve is built into a pipe and can be installed in the majority of pipe systems.WaStop® can be mounting in any position from horizontal to vertical. The check valve is constructed from a rubber membrane which stops reverse flow. When the flow is in the right direction the membrane opens just enough to allow the waste water through. WaStop®
can be installed at any angle from vertical to
horizontal and both at an inlet or outlet. Seals and
anchors for installation in a pipeline are included.
